Planet Broadband internet is
the fastest retail Broadband Internet service in the market today. Connection speed is between
your home/office location and our Super-POP serving your location. Actual
download and upload speeds may vary based on numerous factors, such as the
condition of wiring at your location, or the distance from our nearest service
BTS, computer configuration, Internet and
network congestion, and the speed of website servers you access, among other
factors. Speed and uninterrupted use of the service is our number 1 priority
however can not be guaranteed due to

Billing -
Planet Broadband is a Pre-Paid
Internet service, our billing cycle is on the 21st day of each month. The First
month service will be billed at a prorated rate from the date of service
installation until the 21st day of the month of installation and then billed on
the 21st day of each month there after
Installations - All Installations
are carried out between the hours of
9am-6pm Monday to
Friday.

What is connection speed? How is
it different than throughput?
Connection speed is the speed
that data is transferred between your computer and our Super-POP during your
initial connection to PLAnet Broadband internet service. Throughput speed
refers to the rate that information is transferred to and from your computer.
"Download" or "downstream" refers to the speed at which you receive data from
the Internet. Examples of receiving or downloading are reading a Web page,
downloading a program, or receiving email. ”Upload" or "upstream" refers to the
rate that information is transferred from your computer to the Internet.
Examples of sending or uploading are sending email or files.
What affects my connection speed?
When you connect to the
Internet using PLAnet Broadband internet, the speeds that you will experience
will vary based on a variety of factors, including the following:

Networking
configuration, number of computers and other networked equipment using the
available bandwidth at the same time

Internet congestion

router speeds of the website you access

Can I share PLAnet Broadband
internet service among several PCs?
You can share PLAnet Broadband internet service using
Broadband Router device that support PPPoE. For installation instruction and
supported
Broadband Routers, please see Support.
If I have wireless enabled
notebook, can I connect with Planet Broadband internet service?
In order to connect your
wireless notebook to Planet Broadband internet service, you need to use a
wireless BPL PlugLink or Wireless Broadband Router if you wish to do Internet
sharing.
Can I have/host a web page?
Planet Broadband internet does not include a Web
Host page. You can get this service by subscribing to
Planet Web Hosting
service.
How will I know when my PLAnet
Broadband internet service is ready?
Your Planet Broadband internet
service will be up and running after you complete the registration and service
plan selection process on the day of your installation.

Is Planet Broadband service available on my phone line?
Eligibility for PLAnet Broadband service is based on your service address, not your telephone service. PLAnet Broadband uses new
Broadband-over-Powerline technology, not using your existing copper phone cable. Please see

PLAnet Broadband service?
Installing Planet Broadband BPL equipment
in your building is just one step in bringing you the latest Triple Play
Service. Seeing us in your neighbourhood is a good sign we will be offering
Planet Broadband service soon, but the exact timeframe varies on the other work
still being completed. Make sure you are on our mailing list by qualifying your
email, phone number or address.
I'm an existing Planet Broadband
service customer and am moving. How can I keep my Planet Broadband service and
account?

Equipment and Networking
What equipment is needed for
Planet Broadband Triple Play Service?
As part of your Planet Broadband service, we will provide you with a BPL/PLC PlugLink similar like
modem in the old days. The PlugLink provides conversion from PowerLine
transmission to Ethernet UTP cable.
To share Internet connection, you can use Broadband Router or Wireless Broadband
Router.
To use PLAnet Broadband Phone service, you need an IP Phone. (SIP based)
To watch PLAnet Broadband Television, you need IPTV-STB (Set Top Box).
Note: All of the above mentioned equipment can be purchased directly from
Planet Broadband, just ask your local representative or call your nearest
Planet Broadband Office.

Installation
What's involved in the Planet Broadband service installation process?
When you place your order for
any of Planet Broadband service, you are required to purchase and pay Planet Broadband Starter Pack. After that, we will schedule an appointment time for a
Planet Broadband technician to come to your home/office to conduct the
installation process. When we visit your home/office for installation according
to the schedule, if the contact person is not available we will not be able to
do the installation, you will then be required to reschedule appointment time
with Planet Broadband care. You will also be required to pay the
rescheduling fee so please always make sure you or your contact person is
available for the installation appointment
Depending on your location, we may need to install extra retransmission
equipment. This will typically take place prior to your installation date, and
you are not required to be present for this portion of the installation.
On the day of installation, in most home/office, our technicians will need to
install a Jump Cable, typically on the outside and inside part of your
home/office if one doesn't already exist.
In some apartments or buildings, the NAS (Network Access Server) may be
installed in a central location within your building, or you may have a BPL
Master Modem and Coupler
installed inside your home/office.
How long will it take to install
my new Planet Broadband service?
Installation time can vary
based on a number of factors, but we recommend that you reserve about two hours for the
Planet Broadband technician to complete the installation of
your Planet Broadband Service during the installation day. To schedule for
installation day, it will take maximum 3 (three) working days.
What is included with the
professional installation?
The professional installation
for most home/office includes installation of Jump Cable and HEU (Head-End Unit). The technician will also install any required
BPL PlugLink Modems. Depending on
your account type and home/office layout, the technician may install additional PlugLink
Modems as
needed. Upon arrival, your Planet Broadband technician will review the
installation process with you.
If you order Planet Broadband internet service, we will also activate your
Planet Broadband internet service, configure your primary computer or Broadband
Router (optional). Additional configuration fee for other computers will be
charged as stated in the Starter Pack.
Is it possible to relocate
existing Planet Broadband Service to a new home/office that within Planet Broadband Coverage Area?
Yes, it is possible if your new
home/office located within Planet Broadband Coverage Area, but you are required
to purchase new Starter Pack and follow new installation process for this new
location.
Billing System
How does the billing system
operate in
Planet Broadband service?
All of Planet Broadband Triple Play Services (Internet,
Phone and Television) are prepaid services. You are required to purchase Planet
Broadband Top Up Voucher to credit your Planet Broadband Account, then select
appropriate Plan suitable for your requirement and budget. This prepaid account
can be used to purchase other Value Added Service, which can be ordered via
Planet Broadband Web Self Care Website

Is there a refund with Planet Broadband service?
No. We do not provide any
refund for service or Top Up Voucher purchased. If you plan to cancel your
account, you also required to return the BPL/PLC PlugLink and any other
equipment we have given you within 7 (seven) days of cancellation to avoid being
charged an equipment fee.
How do I see charges for Planet Broadband Service?
You can see all the charges thru Planet Broadband Web Self
Care Website
https://planetbband.kejora.net. We may send you electronic statements
by email however we will not send you any printed invoice or statement for this
service.
If I want to move Planet Broadband Service to a different plan where I still have remaining time for the
current plan, will I get credited for unused time?
No. We do not provide any
refund for service or Top Up Voucher purchased. If you are migrating to a new
plan or speed this will be done automatically at the end of the billing cycle
(21st day of the month) so there is no overlap with credit left on your current
plan. If you request an immediate upgrade you will loose any credit left
on your old plan
